I'm not reading along, but I do like the idea of retro readers... I bought a copy of Pippi {with illustrations by Lauren Child} a couple of years ago for my boys {their dad is Swedish and it inspired his big sister's name, Annika}. I realise it's a pretty old story, but I found some of Pippi's antics a bit questionable. Jumping off cliffs, lighting fires... What was funny though, was that they both decided to sleep upside down for a little while as we read it.
